Luna and the Lost Star
One clear night, a girl named Luna could not sleep. She sat by her window counting stars, when suddenly — whoosh! — a tiny star came tumbling down and landed softly in her garden, glowing and blinking.
“Oh!” said Luna. She tiptoed outside. The little star sat in the grass, dimming sadly. “I fell,” it whispered, “and now I can’t find my way back to the sky.”
“Don’t worry,” said Luna. “I’ll help you.”
She cupped the star gently in her hands. It was warm, like a tiny sun. Together they looked up at the night sky, searching for the star’s home.
“There!” said the star, glowing brighter. “That’s my spot — the empty little space, right beside the moon.”
But it was so high. How could a small star ever get back up?
Luna had an idea. She climbed to the top of the tallest hill, held the star up high, and whispered, “Shine as bright as you can.”
The little star glowed and glowed, brighter and brighter, until — with a happy sparkle — it floated up, up, up, and slipped right back into its place beside the moon.
The whole sky twinkled a little brighter that night. And the little star winked down at Luna, as if to say thank you.
Luna smiled, climbed back into bed, and fell fast asleep — knowing that somewhere up above, a little star was shining just for her.
The end. ⭐
